IT&O launch press release

by Hans | August 31st, 2011

International Tug & Salvage (IT&S), which has been the leading specialist trade journal for the tug, towage and salvage industries for 16 years, has relaunched as International Tug & OSV (IT&O).

The new title fully embraces all the content and subject areas covered so successfully by IT&S – from the activities of the salvage and towage operators, the vessels used and the yards that build them, to the specialist skills involved and the equipment employed – but now also includes insightful coverage of the vessels serving the offshore industry, the equipment they carry and the new demands, legislation and innovation affecting their design, operation and future.

As spending on the global oil and gas industry grows exponentially, it is felt the magazine’s existing readers have much to gain from the opportunities offered by contact with that market, while new readers from the offshore arena will be able to explore interesting synergies, for example, between the salvage industry and the decommissioning of oil rigs.

As with IT&S, IT&O is published six times a year to a worldwide audience of influential, senior professionals, providing its readers with the independent and indispensable news, features and opinions they need, written in a relaxed, informal and easily accessible editorial style. The magazine’s parent company, the ABR Company Ltd, has been running the well-known and hugely successful ITS Conventions across the globe since 1992, and the publication’s long-standing respect and integrity within the industry is very much a reflection of its intrinsic links with those events, which serve, inform and stimulate the towage, salvage – and now offshore – industries.

The next ITS Convention will take place in Barcelona from 28th May to 1st June next year.
