IMSN continues to set the standard for security training by becoming a DNV-certified Maritime Training Center.
Along with their list of DNV-certified maritime security courses, which includes the first DNV-certified Anti-Piracy Defense Course, IMSN now has the distinct honor of being the first maritime security company to be certified as a DNV Maritime Training Center, utilizing DNV’s SeaSkill Standard 3.402 ‘Maritime Training Centers’.
“Although the process of gaining DNV certification took some time, we are proud to announce we have earned this honor of excellence in the area of training, which has always been the foundation of our entire business” said IMSN CEO, Tim Nease.
Although the certification is already in effect, DNV will formally present the certificate to Nease at the DNV Ft Lauderdale office, February 24, 2012. “This certification recognizes IMSN for their commitment to a standardized, quality management system that governs their entire training operation,” DNV representative, Gordon Halsey said. “IMSN joins over one hundred other maritime training centers, maritime academies and maritime simulator centers around the world that have been certified to DNV’s Maritime Education and Training standards.””
Through its training, IMSN strives to impart the practical knowledge, tactical capability and an invaluable sense of responsibility in order to provide for more secure clients and safer seas. “We make it our mission to ensure the security and safety of all mariners. By providing quality training we can make the mariner less of a victim by being proactive in their defense through proper training and security support,” says Nease.
IMSN has been involved with maritime security services and training since 2007. They provide a number of different internationally certified training courses specifically developed for licensed mariners, law enforcement officers and first responders.International Maritime Security Network, LLCwww.imsn.us 304-394-5104 Press Release IMSN
