Possible construction of two tugs by CDM

WILLEMSTAD — the Curaçao Dokmaatschappij CDM and Kompania di Tou Kòrsow (KTK) yesterday afternoon 13th October 2012, have signed a “Letter of Intent” (LOI) to investigate whether the Drydock Company can build two tugs for KTK.

The companies have agreed to the details specified in the first phase, in which the conditions and costs are addressed, so as ultimately to come to an agreement. Hereinafter referred to CDM and KTK a final decision take on the possible construction of the tugs and when these should be delivered.

Both CDM-Director Errol Martina as Humberto de Castro, Director of the Curacao Port Authorities (CPA), the parent company of KTK, let know “very satisfied with the agreement reached after much consultation between technical experts of both companies ‘. De Castro stressed that the objective of CPA is to develop the port, in order to contribute to the economic development of the island.
