Rotterdam based KOTUG International B.V. nominated for Koning Willem I Prijs 2014 (King Willem I Award 2014)

Award Ceremony in the presence of Her Royal Highness Queen Máxima at “De Nederlandsche Bank” on May 13th 2014

Rotterdam based KOTUG International B.V has been nominated for the prestigious “Koning Willem I Prijs (King Willem I Award”. The nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at De Nederlandsche Bank on May 13th 2014, where the winner will receive the National Enterprise Award 2014 in presence of Her Royal Highness Queen Máxima.

Maritime service provider KOTUG International B.V. operates on a global scale and designs and markets tugboats, such  as the Rotortug with its revolutionary azimuth propulsion system. Today, the nomination was personally handed over by drs. Gert van der Houwen, Secretary of the Koning Willem I Foundation in the offices of KOTUG Rotterdam. It represents a nomination in the category for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (MKB).

Koning Willem I Foundation 
Koning Willem I Prijs and Koning Willem I Plaquette for Sustainable Entrepeneurship will be handed over by Koning Willem I Stichting once every two years. The foundation Stichting Foundation is created in 1958 by De Nederlandsche Bank NV and some, to the business community, affiliated organizations. Since that year the Foundation awards prizes and plaques for distinctive Entrepreneurship. The King Willem I Foundation aims to provide impetus to the national economy and enhance the reputation of the Dutch business community. Among others represented on the Board are: De Nederlandsche Bank N.V., Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of infrastructure and the environment, and employers (VNO-NCW), SME Netherlands, NIVE, Dutch society for industry and Trade (society), Dutch quality Institute, TNO, Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, Royal Institute of engineers and The Dutch Staatsloterij.
