Last year TOS was honoured the project of assisting Smit Lamnalco with a series of mobilization voyages of five impressive RAstar 3400 tugs.
All voyages started at the Sanmar shipyard in Turkey and headed to their new destination Gladstone in Australia. In 2013 a new LNG operation in Gladstone was won by Smit Lamnalco and a series of five state of the art LNG-terminal tugs were ordered at Sanmar.

Starting end of last year, the first of five, the SL Curtis Island, was taken over in Tuzla and sailed on own keel and under own power via Suez and Galle, Sri Lanka to Gladstone. SL Curtis Island to be followed by SL Quoin Island (2014/2015), SL Boyne Island (2015), SL Heron Island (2015) and SL Wiggins Island (2015). The names come from Islands in the Gladstone area.

TOS assisted with the preparation of the vessels and sailed the vessels under Singapore flag and ISM to Gladstone. All vessels sailed the high risk area (HRA) with appropriate security arrangements, all arranged for by TOS.
