m/v Okskiy-62 – aground, waiting for offloading and underwater survey

m/v Okskiy-62 in the same position, aground starboard side on a white border of a channel, list 40 degrees. Two lines of booms established, oil spill handled with absorbents, oily water collected by m/v OC-14. Floating crane KPL-912 and barge 8134 on the site to commence offloading. Waiting for salvage divers team from Salvage Agency Baltiyskoye BASU. Accident: Collision on Scheksna river. Volgo-Balt water system control reports collision on Scheksna river, 568.1 rilometer mark, between m/t Volgoflot-5 cargo heavy oil, and m/v Okskiy-62, cargo crashed stone, October 13, 23.47 LT. Tanker holed in fore truster compartment, compartment flooded. m/v Okskiy-62 holed in engine room area, engine room flooded, dirty water spill, vessel on a white border of channel (presumably sank and aground with upper parts above water), crew 7 evacuated to m/t Volgoflot-5, traffic not affected.

Tug OTA-092 sent to render required assistance. m/t Volgoflot-5 enroute Rybinsk – S.Petersburg, inland tanker, owner Volgoflot Tanker Co., N.Novgorod. m/v Okskiy-62 enroute Shala – Tver, owner Belozerskiy Port.
