Tuzla Tugboat Services Inc. announced that it has started providing tugboat services in the Tuzla Regional Service Area.
In a statement from Tuzla Tugboat Services, it was announced, "We are pleased to announce that we have commenced operations in Tuzla, one of the important centers of the maritime sector, with the aim of contributing to the sustainability of safe and efficient maritime operations."
As a result of the tender conducted by the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the right to operate tugboat services in the Tuzla Regional Service Area has been transferred to our company, and we started providing tugboat services in the region as of August 15, 2026 at 00:01.
Our priority at Tuzla Tugboat Services Inc. is to add value to maritime activities in the Tuzla Regional Service Area with our understanding of safety, operational continuity, reliability, and high service quality.
We aim to work in strong cooperation with all institutions and organizations operating in the region, especially agencies, shipyards, port facilities and all our maritime stakeholders.
"We wish this new period to be beneficial for the Tuzla maritime community, and we thank all our business partners and stakeholders for their support," the statement said.
The company will operate with a total of eight tugboats and three mooring boats, including the GİSAŞ POWER, GİSAŞ POWER II, GİSAŞ POWER III, and GİSAŞ POWER IV electric tugboats.
